Description: A hurricane evacuation route is a Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) designated route used to direct traffic inland in case of a hurricane threat. Some routes may facilitate contraflow or the act of directing both sides of a divided highway to flow in the same direction away from the hurricane. This data was created using a definition query for evacuation routes on the GDOT_LRS/MilePost_Routes feature class.
